Coteaux de l'Aubance : Characteristics
The Coteaux de l'Aubance is a sweet wine, also named dessert wine. This Loire Valley wine is characterised by its marvellous constant green-gold colour. The nose of this sweet wine offers you a nice harmony of freshness and fineness, reminding us the nice apricots, quinces, pear and citrus notes and also wonderful notes of acacia. Coteaux de l'Aubance is a top class Loire Valley wine. This dessert beverage must be served chilled.
The soils and grape varieties of hill Aubance wine
The vineyard is located in the Anjou region, in the south of Angers, not far from the river Aubance, on loamy soils, sandstone schists. This dessert wine is issued from Chenin grape variety, named also "Pineau Blanc de la Loire".
Wine-making process of Coteaux de l'Aubance
In order to produce this nice sweet wine, Coteaux de l'Aubance, the grapes are harvested by hand, by successive sorting. In this way we obtain musts naturally concentrated in sugar for the production of sweet wines. The alcoholic fermentation is done during several months at low temperature.
Time of keeping
The time of keeping of the Coteaux de l'Aubance is very long. This dessert wine can be kept between 10 and 20 years.
